Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
J.K. Rowling
pg. 766
July 8, 2000
Fantasy
www.pottermore.com

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is the fourth year that Harry is at Hogwarts with his best friends Ron and Hermionie. This year the Triwizard competition is going on. Three magic schools come together and one student from each school will get to represent their school in the competition. The three schools are Hogwarts,Beuxbatons ,and Durmstrang. Only people that are 17 or older get to compete. When the champions of each school are chosen Harry's name came out of the fire everyone was shocked and a bit angry because there was an age line when you put your name in the Goblet of Fire. Harry had to compete.

I like this book because I like reading about competitions and that kind of thing. I also like reading about magic. I like the book a lot because J.K. Rowling lets a lot of your imagination come out and this book is easily a page turner. It is a page turner because you always want to know what is going to happen. Is Harry going to get past the dragon? Will Ron every understand the fact that Harry is famous because is parents died? I would rate this book a 9 out of 10 because I like it a lot.

Harry Potter and the Secret of Chambers
J. K. Rowling
pg. 341
1999
Fantasy

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is about a boy named Harry Potter that had his parents killed when he was three years old and the murderer was the most powerful dark wizard of all his time. All wizards even fear to say his name. He once went to Hogwarts like Harry has for a year now. His best friend Ron Weasly has four brothers that are already out of Hogwarts already and two of them are still there and their names are George and Fred. He also has one sister named Ginny that is starting her first year this year of Hogwarts. Ron and Harry have friend that is also in Gryffindor the house that they are in at Hogwarts there are Sliverin, Hufflepuff, Gryffindor, and Ravenclaw and at the end of the year whoever has the most points wins the house cup.
I like this book because it is interesting and also it has a lot of points that make you want to read more and that you are on the edge of your seat. I would rate this book a 4 out of 5 because I really liked this book but I didn't this book a 5 out of 5 because I think that the book could have been a little bit more descriptive

The Cabinet of Wonders

The cabinet of wonders is about a girl named Petra that had her dad's eyes taken away from him by the prince. From Petra's father's point of view the prince and him were good friends. Petra goes back to the castle with her mechanical pet spider that her father made. Well she went to castle to get her father's eyes back so that he can see again. On the way she finds a boy named Neel. Petra got a job at the castle to go undercover so she could find out about the castle how she could escape after she took her father's eyes back. One day when she was with Neel she stormed the prince's cabinet of wonders. So, did Petra and Neel steal what was rightfully Petra's father's back?

I liked this book because it always kept me on the edge of my seat every time I started reading it. I also like this book because when Petra and Neel storm the castle a lot at the same time things are happening. One of my favorite things of the book is when it shows that Petra is not afraid of the castle with the prince that took her father's eyes and decides that she wants to risk her life for getting back her father's sight back to him.

I think that who ever likes a book that keeps you on the edge of your seat and is a page turner that you should read the book The Cabinet of Wonders. I think that the authors purpose of this book is to stand up for the things that you rightfully own or standing up for other people and helping them get back their stuff. I would rate this book a three and a half because I think that it was a cool book. Didn't rate this book a 4 out of 5 or a 5 out of 5 because I didn't think that it was that great of a book but I did like the book

Number the Stars

Fictional

During World War ll when the Nazis were taking over a lot of land they took over Denmark. Two girls named Annemarie and Ellen lived in Copenhagen, Denmark. Soon the Nazis where collecting the Jewish people of Denmark and Ellen and her family were Jewish, so Annemarie’s family helped hide Ellen’s family from the Nazis. To get to Sweden which was not taken over yet. Peter Nielsen, Annemarie’s families friend helped Ellen’s family get to Sweden because he was part of the Danish Resistance. Eventually he was caught and executed by the Nazis. When World War ll was over a lot of people were sad because a lot of people had died.

I enjoyed the book before the ending but the ending was sad and I don’t really like sad books. The book was really exciting with its sad and happy moments. I was always on the edge of of my seat if one of the characters were stopped by a German guard.

I would recommend this book to people that like fictional page turners that are about history or important events that happened many years ago, then if that fits your choice of books then I think you should read Number the Stars. I hope that you consider this as a book choice to read for you. I would rate this book a four out of five.
